To move backwards and forwards between pages you can use "z" and "x". You can hit the "space" bar as a "fast forward" or "next page" key to advance through a gallery from one pic to the next.
Once you're on a page that's just got an image on it you can hit "cmd" ("ctrl" in windows) + "s" and Opera will save the pic as an image file. The same command is universal to other browsers, but I've found that Explorer and Firefox can be twitchy with that sort of thing in terms of applying the correct file extensions. This can be a sore point later on when you want to view the pix you've saved.
In addition to the browsing experience itself, is the added attraction of using a browser that's less susceptible to spyware and viruses than IE or even Firefox.
